making wines in an ENVIRONMENTAL
and SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE way

All our winemakers show a commitment to the environment above and beyond the regulations. Sustainability is central to their working practise, and this is reflected in their rigorous green viticultural policies.

All have environmental award certification covering biodiversity conservation, plant protection, management of water and fertiliser. All base their decisions on respect for the soil, air, flora, fauna and the local community.

All have waste recycling policies in place and incorporate the use of alternative energy sources into the productions systems.

Step by step,
they make a difference

sustainability highlights

Our partner is the No. 1 organic producer in Argentina, with LETIS certification. Their initiatives include:

• Conserving the native flora and fauna on their vineyards to maintain biological biodiversity, and plant vegetables to promote soil fertility.
• Using natural fertilizers such as compost and worm castings, producing 10,000 tons per year.
• Planting green vegetables to achieve the highest soil fertility and thus promote the life of microorganisms.
• Using recycled fuel in boilers and cooling technology to reduce energy consumption.
• Having effluent treatment plants to reduce water consumption and save on electrical energy in well pumps.
• They carry out various programs that collaborate with the development of their community in Maipú and Santa Rosa:
1. FAIR FOR LIFE: First vineyard certification obtained in 2001
2. School completion: they allow employees who didn’t finish school to complete their secondary studies as adults on site.
3. Kindergarten on site: more than 47 children attend, from 45 days to 12 years.
4. Sewing workshops: made up of the spouses of the employees. Work is carried out such as the uniforms of the warehouse staff and also work for external clients

the BENEFITS of enjoying WINE from a CAN

All Wild Steps wine is served in single serve cans.

Cans are lighter than glass and are not made from fossil fuels either like plastic. Because of the processes involved in making them, cans also contribute less to environmental problems like acid rain and oxygen-free zones in the ocean.

RECYCLED & RECYCLABLE

Our cans contain 65% recycled material. And over 70% of cans are currently recycled in the UK.

SAFE &SOUND

They are ideal for outdoor or festival use and unlike glass bottles don’t break easily, what’s more you can enjoy it straight from the can.

CONVENIENT TO CARRY

They are lighter and smaller. Easy to pop into a backpack or picnic hamper. And you don’t even need to bring a corkscrew.

SINGLESERVE

Wine in a can assists in portion control. No need to measure it out and no wastage. What’s more, it chills faster than a bottle.

BETTER FOR THE PLANET

They have a smaller carbon footprint – made of lighter weight materials and benefit from transport efficiencies.

PICK YOUR FAVOURITE

Rather than everyone having to share a single bottle, single-serve cans mean that for a similar price, everyone can pick their favourite.
